90歲的謝爺爺，因跌倒導致右髖疼痛，無法站立，經X光檢查發現為右髖粉碎之大腿骨骨折，和醫師討論後，決定接受骨釘內固定手術，術後一週康復出院，另一名94歲羅奶奶，也是因為跌倒造成右髖之大腿骨粉碎骨折，疼痛、無法站立，經詳細身體檢查，發現心肺功能明顯較差，接受骨折內固定手術後，復原良好。

**髖關節骨折長者 一年死亡率約為30％**

髖關節骨折是65歲以上老年人常見的嚴重創傷之一，病人可能因此臥床、生活失能，造成患者和家屬生活上極大的不便和壓力，根據統計數據，發生髖關節骨折長者，一年死亡率約為30％，然而，經由骨科及早手術治療，是能有效改善的。

衛福部苗栗醫院骨科醫師汪家成指出，長者除了會比年輕時有稍多的健康問題或疾病外，也容易在跌倒時發生骨折，其中又以脊椎和髖部的大腿骨骨折最痛苦，造成時間上或長或短的臥床、失能，此類外傷，如果不積極治療，除了短期造成的劇痛、臥床不便外，中長期有可能導致虛弱、褥瘡、感染、靜脈栓塞，甚至因此而死亡。

汪醫師進一步指出，老年人發生跌倒次數和傷害嚴重度，隨年紀增加而相對增高，提醒民眾應該及早做好「保『密』防『跌』」，保持骨質密度部份，應該加強正確、適度的運動，例如快走、騎單車和補充鈣質，可攝取奶粉、小魚干、吻仔魚、黑芝麻、紫菜、髮菜等，都是含鈣量高的食物，以避免骨質疏鬆症發生。

預防跌倒則應注意居家環境，地面宜平整防滑、照明要適當、動線無障礙物，傢俱固定擺放，此外，此外，還需留意是否服用藥物，有無可能引起暈眩或方向感迷失的潛在危險，才能有效防跌。(文章授權提供／優活健康網)
