隨著現代人工作忙碌，壓力大，作息上的不正常；飲食也經常以外食為主，偏向高油、高糖、高鹽；再加上國人生活型態多屬於靜態，像是看電視、用電腦，長時間處於坐姿並缺乏運動，這樣的現象，易導致熱量過剩、腹部脂肪增加、腰圍變大，造成血糖偏高、血壓上升、血脂異常，產生代謝症候群的機率也隨之提高了。

**緊隨癌症的第二個健康殺手**

歷年來十大死因中皆有多項與代謝症候群有關的慢性疾病，如：心臟病、腦血管疾病、糖尿病、高血壓、腎臟病等，這些疾病加總起來的死亡率，已超過癌症。所以「代謝症候群」是緊隨著癌症成為我們健康的第二個殺手！一定要知道如何預防它並且遠離它！

**健康危險的五大警訊**

代謝症候群它不是一個特定疾病，而是一種病前「狀態」，指的是一群危害健康的因子共同聚集，是健康危險的警訊，也可以說是肥胖、血脂異常、血糖異常、高血壓的綜合體。根據以下五個危險指標中，包含：(1)男性腰圍≧90cm、女性腰圍≧80cm；(2)血壓過高：收縮壓≧130mmHg、舒張壓≧85mmHg；(3)高密度脂蛋白膽固醇 (HDL-C)過低：男性&lt;40mg/dl，女性&lt;50mg/dl；(4)空腹血糖值(Fasting glucose) ≧100mg/dl；(5)三酸甘油脂(Triglyceride) ≧150mg/dl。若具有三項（含）以上者，即稱為代謝症候群。

**控制體重、規律運動、健康飲食**

預防勝於治療！預防代謝症候群必須從「體重管理、運動、健康飲食」三方面著手，飲食要把握低鹽、低糖、低油、高纖的原則，多吃蔬菜，適量攝取水果，避免加工和油炸的食物；肉類方面則儘量以白肉取代紅肉、保持理想的體重，避免肥胖；此外要培養規則的運動習慣，盡量達到每天有30分鐘的中強度體能運動，如騎腳踏車、快走、走樓梯、爬山等來預防代謝症候群的產生。
