銀髮族要如何保養自己，除了靠保建食品，尤其到了冬天，許多民眾都會燉補麻油雞或薑母鴨等藥膳，希望能透過食補暖暖身；中醫師徐樺宗指出，但若換有患有高血壓、心血管疾患、糖尿病等疾病的患者，可得特別注意，並非適合食用油脂多的麻油雞等。

**選擇黑色食物 幫助補腎氣**

到底要如何進補才正確，應選擇正確的食物，像是海帶、海藻等，因具有軟化血管等功能，能幫助清除血中膽固醇，幫助降低血壓，另外像是芝麻或黑豆也有助於預防骨質疏鬆；徐樺宗說，每天也可攝取5至6顆核桃，因含有的亞麻酸等，可保護血管，預防腦部退化。

**根據體質進補 選擇適合藥膳**

若屬於手腳容易冰冷等民眾，可利用高麗參、黃耆、乾薑等藥材為主的藥膳，以熱性來溫補，若為容易口乾、便秘等燥熱體質，則建議可加入大白菜、茼蒿等涼性的食材等幫助舒緩；徐樺宗說，若長輩消化不良，則可使用山藥、茯苓、當歸等藥材燉煮藥膳排骨，幫助健脾益胃兼具活血通絡。
