從小就養成不挑食、攝取營養蔬果的孩子，學習力比無攝取蔬果習慣的同學竟多出5倍！

蔬菜水果的營養，若是每天都能攝取足夠，對身體健康與免疫力有相當大的幫助，因此，應該使孩子們了解到，餐桌上的每一口蔬菜水果，都是農夫辛苦的心血而更加樂於食用。

調查顯示，每日攝取適量蔬果的學童比起不吃蔬果的孩子們，其學習力與IQ較為傑出，足足高出5倍之多。

而以往家長們以為「多吃肉才有抵抗力，就不會常掛病號」的觀念，也受到衝擊，根據研究，孩童的免疫力與蔬果攝取量成正比，反而與蛋白質食物的攝取較無關。建議家長，最好攝取蔬果的方法就是「各色蔬果都要吃」，尤其是深綠色蔬果，而許惠玉也提出10大聰明好蔬果，葡萄柚、柑橘、奇異果、香蕉、葡萄、花椰菜、草莓、藍莓、番茄、蘋果，家長平時可與孩子一同吃蔬果，養成飲食好習慣。

間接讓子女多進食蔬果，就把蔬菜打成泥加入喜愛的食材裡，如起士，讓孩子一口吃下，慢慢的就能接受「吃蔬菜」。謍養師賈靜雯也特地在感恩節前夕，示範低卡、多蔬果火雞餐，傳統火雞餐多用肉汁都做佐醬，其實可以蔬果烹飪出好看好吃的感恩節大餐，醬汁可改以蔓越莓、柳橙與蜂蜜代替之，用杏鮑菇、紫洋蔥、花椰菜、紅椒、黃椒當作底盤。
