Shallow-Fried Bottle Gourd Cake

Sangkap Panimpla
300g bottle gourd
40g preserved turnips
1 green onion
40g peanuts
75g shrimp
1 1/2 tsp Salt
2 tsp tapioca starch
1 tsp flour
1 Tbsp water
Ingredients Seasoning
300g bottle gourd
40g binurong labanos
1 berdeng sibuyas
40g mani
75g hipon
1 1/2 kutsaritang asin
2 kutsaritang tapicca
1 kutsaritang arina
1 kutsarang tubig

 

Pamamraan
  1. Hugan, balatan at hiwain ng pino ang bottle gourd. Hugasan at tadtarin ang binurong labanos; iprito ang mani hanggang bumango, alisin ang balat at durugin ang laman. Tadtarin ang berdeng sibuyas; hugasan at balatan ang hipon, patiktikan at saka tadtarin sa pamamagitan ng talim ng kutsilyo
  2. Ilagay ang mga sangkap(1) sa isang malaking lalagyan, budburan ng asin at haluing mabuti. Tunawin ang tapioca starch at arina sa isang kutsarang tubig, ibuhos sa lalagyan at haluing mabuti.
  3. Ipainit ang palyok at lagyan ng mantika, ilagay ang mga sangkap sa malaking lalagyan, pahinaan ang apoy. Lutuin hanggang ang keyk ay hindi dumikit sa palayok. Baliktarin at lutuin ang kabilang panig hanggang sa handa ng ihain.
Method
  1. Wash, peel and finely grate the bottle gourd. Wash and finely chop the preserved turnips; stir-fry the peanuts until fragrant, remove the skin and crush them. Chop the green onion; wash and devein the shrimps, pat dry and then mash them using the blade of your chopper.
  2. Put the above ingredients into a large bowl, add salt and mix well. Dissolve the tapioca starch and corn flour in 1 Tbsp of water, add the mixture to the bowl and stir well.
  3. Heat the wok and add some oil, put the bottle gourd mixture in, turn the heat down and let it cook until the cake does not stick to the wok. Flip the mixture over and cook the other side until it is done.

Gamitin ang kawali imbes na palayok
Practical Tip
A pan would work better than a wok for this recipe.

Shallow-fry in a wok until both sides are done.
